how do you usually construct poems of anagrammed lines? do you start with a line, then generate the anagrams from there? do you start with some words in mind that you’d like to use?

Both. Sometimes I’ll start with a single line and go from there. Other times—if I’m writing on a specific subject—I’ll make sure the opening line has the letters necessary to make certain key words.... Both present interesting challenges—and both are fun :)
