1/ Women and doctors who choose to deliver babies with severe/non-viable conditions never execute them. Never. In choosing to deliver, they provide palliative care: they do their best to make the mom and baby comfortable, knowing the child will not survive long.

2/Sometimes you have minutes, sometimes days. As with any other terminal patient, to keep this little human comfortable as they die. That is not executing them. Telling people it is? That is pure and unadulterated assholery.

Truth, Tamara. Sadly there are times when a baby is born without an organ or other malady and cannot survive I have seen our nurses administering loving care to the infant and parents. This is what humane people do for others at the worst time of a parents life.

I experienced it. I’m not sure how I survived. My twin sons died.

I cannot imagine. You are a strong woman.

It was 34 years ago on April 20th....now I have 22 grandchildren. A piece of my heart is missing but I am grateful.
