Things I never thought I'd say: I have to admit that WSL2, the new Windows terminal, the package manager and DirectX on WSL2 is pretty awesome. If MS continues to pull stuff like this and fixes a few more issues in Windows, I might even see myself giving that OS a chance again.

Not dismissing the 'fancy drivers' though - it's still really impressive and must have taken a lot of work, it's just less cool in some way.

Yes, that's a valid point I thought about as well. However, in an Nvidia world even under Linux you don't have an open source high performance graphics/GPGPU driver stack. To get that, you'd have to use an AMD GPU. And I bought into an RTX2080 Ti a year ago, so meh.
