Hello. I vanished from online last November without explaining why. My entire world has changed, and it's taken me a long time to get to this point, but I'm ready to share my story. Please read the following: Thank you, and I've missed you all. ♥

18 years ago today, I drew a little dragon and screamed a little song. Come celebrate with the first new homepage in over 10 years.

This legit feels like we're living in the plot of an 80s action movie. Waiting for when they skip the National Guard and bring in Cobra instead.

If you don't think the words of elected officials actually matter, just take a look at what's happening at the Capitol today. This is the result.

Some classic point-and-click adventure games that meant the world to me as a kid. Anybody else a fan of these or have other favorites in the genre that you wanna share?

I won't get into details, as I don't wanna spoil anything, but damn did I love Cobra Kai season 3. It's fantastic on its own merits, and the nostalgia is pitch perfect for those who grew up on the films rather than feeling shoehorned in. Great music too🤘 Me after every episode:

For anybody watching Cobra Kai this weekend, I just want you to know that there has NEVER been a greater publicity photo than this one of Martin Kove for his short-lived 1989 TV series, Hard Time on Planet Earth. Happy New Year.

Started watching the new season of Letterkenny last night and they haven't missed a beat in their downtime. Still easily some of the best writing you'll ever see in a comedy series and one of Canada's finest exports.

If you start watching The 'Burbs at exactly 10:58:37pm this New Year's Eve, I dunno what that hell will be happening on screen come midnight, but you'll still be watching an awesome movie.

New video about Flash, which reaches end-of-life tomorrow. I've included a brief history of Flash, a retrospective of some of my favourite Flash videos and games (by the likes of , & ) and a discussion of its eventual demise.

Well, it's my birthday today. Here's a birthday t-shirt design Re made years ago called "Feeding Time"🎂 I can't be with friends and family, but it'd be nice if you could donate to the Special Olympics () or St. Jude's ()

Has there ever been a film that captures the magical, warm glow of Christmas lights better than Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut? Let's start a Christmas lights in film thread. Share your favorites with me. I wanna see 'em.

Not sure who needs to hear this but it's okay if you're struggling or alone; it's been a hard year to endure. I'm isolated at home, the love of my life has passed, & the holidays can be an acutely lonely time even without a pandemic. Just know you can and WILL get through this❤️

The scariest thing in Gremlins isn't the devious titular creatures; it's all the inventions of Rand Peltzer that caused tremendous anxiety for his family. Here's my old article covering his amazing creations in this Christmas holiday horror classic: 🎄🍊💀

Dad's finale is ambitious as anything you'll ever see on YouTube, and I urge you to watch the entire series. It's like an intersection of Twin Peaks and science fiction. So glad I could be a part of it! Can't believe we shot this before the pandemic began:

I'm all for this, as it's yet another way of introducing a generation to these amazing books. That said, nothing will ever top the rare original audio cassette impeccably narrated by George S. Irving. I rented it from the local library as a kid countless times. Anybody heard it?
