One of the main jobs of a people manager is absorbing organizational uncertainty, and it's a lot easier to do this when you know the rhythms of the context you're working in. It's perhaps undervalued as a way to grow, but it's growth nonetheless

I agree that there's not "one right way" to lead, and that it's worthwhile to observe and learn from the way others work as a way of improving your craft. But at the end of the day, there will still be styles and contexts that resonate more with you
