Thanks for the support y’all. It’s sad reflecting back on the managers & coworkers I’ve had who see life as a zero-sum game. You don’t need to be friends with your coworkers, but you do have to respect each other as human beings. Supportive teams >> hyper-competitive teams

Part of why I decided to be a people manager was to build the team/culture I always wish I had. I’ve been lucky since then to have grown & led collaborative teams that respectfully challenge & engage each other. I hope more leaders promote a culture of empathetic mgmt & teamwork.
