As a new leader at a company, it's important to take action deliberately, as it will set expectations for who you are and how you'll act. This is precisely why the first PR that I submitted to the Twitter codebase contained the Darth Plagueis copypasta in its entirety.

And like any good DS, I left that experience with more questions than answers. Most important among them is directed at you, Twitter user. Did YOU ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It's not a story the Twitter linter would tell you.
