Where/how are you learning? And book/video recs?
Learning about number theory makes me feel schizophrenic. Numbers have so many weird properties and patterns that seem like they should be messages from our Reptilian Humanoid Overlords or something

have you gotten to base prime yet? (i'm writing a lightning talk on number bases for a new year's eve party so it's just on my mind) (if you have other interesting observations about number theory, it'd be cool to hear your fun facts too)

I'm not super deep yet, so my observations are probably not super insightful :p I have been reflecting that a lot of the stuff I've learned so far (like digit summing) feels weird until you realize it was developed in an era where people did computation by hand.

I think I lost my mind when I learned group theory. Numbers are just constructs to represent groups or rather operations which have even weirder properties. On a totally related note, most famous mathematicians went crazy late in life.
