      Granted, "Data Science" is still a broad cover term, so depending on your flavor of data science, the leap is shorter.       I'm personally a fan of Type A being "Data Scientist" and Type B being "Machine Learning Engineer", but I've also heard people using them exactly opposite of me

          I also like these names a lot to distinguish between the two roles. (And sidebar, as a definite 'Type A' data scientist, it feels great to see people appreciating the difference between the two roles!)
