Juries still out. Depends on how you choose to parse the experience. I used to be an atheist and I'm not anymore, but it's possible I'm just dealing with the mind's attempt to interpret the ways reality breaks when it starts getting swarmed with novel stimuli...

Pretty sure 'qi' is real, for example. If it's not, it's a psychotic symptom that conveniently manifests in ways consistent with various eastern{and occasionally western} narratives in a remarkably complex form.
