Makes me wonder how spelling and grammar will be tracked and studied in the future (or even now?). The "proper" way to spell and type internet words changes too quickly without a single centralized source. Sure there's Urban dictionary, but...

depends on what information youre trying to transfer the direct, literal meaning of the words: yes but wording choices can be used to signify information sources, social groups, etc having information about that canonized makes it a lot harder to transmit second-order info
