      the rationalist delusion is that explaining how to do things the "right" way will matter to anyone except rationalists ironically a devotion to rationalism is fundamentally irrational *if you care about effecting change* — when will they notice that their approach doesn't work?

      I tend to agree that rationalists did a lot Trying to imagine a world without Yud Would AI safety and x-risks in general have the cultural position they have? Would Bostrom do it all on his own? Hm, hm, seems dubious
