Seems false because your a New Atheist and you don't want to acknowledge your blind spot?

No, and I sort of side with you in this thread, I just don’t see how what you said can be true. Where is it written that everyone must have a metaphysic? Many people love throwing the “atheists have their own faith” card, I don’t really understand that move

Not sure who the hammer is here, but I like to think of myself as more of a dotted sedgewick

Let’s say I was a new atheist who didn’t want to acknowledge my blind spot, how would I do so? Where is this metaphysics hiding? I’m genuinely curious

What are the first principles of new atheism?

There is no set of shared first principles for “new atheism”, as many different foundations are compatible with its silhouette: a lack of belief in a god or gods, and a desire to see this belief uprooted in others.

I would probably substitute “god or gods” with “dogmatism” more generally

Ok, so now can you make a positive claim about first principles? Rejection does not an ontology make

NA is explicitly not an ontology, it is a rejection of several common ones. There are a few popular ontologies related to NA, but NA in and of itself does not have any.

What are the related ontologies?

Lots of NA people are materialist reductionists, lots don't have any explicit ontology, maybe others but I don't actually know the proper name for them. The shared "ontology" of NA is purely negative: "God doesn't exist"
