You're not allowed to disagree with somebody when they say something will be good for children. Even (especially) if it will not, in fact, make children's lives better. Also there's no notion of trade-offs or opportunity costs when it comes to children's well-being.

Thinking about children's well-being is good, actually, but usually when children are invoked they have nothing to do with the policy in question.

I mean, fair enough. But this is one of the classic cases were people jump from an extreme to other. And since the conversation is about availability of pornography to preteen children and its effects, invoking a preoccupation for children's well-being is in order
