Open editions aren't necessarily the end all be all model but the overall steps forward for both the artist and collector feel like a net positive for most use cases 🤝

The price and quantity dynamic goes out the window, making the decision for the artist way easier
If your goal is a lot of collectors, price lower and test the waters
If your goal is to get more $ to help market the song, price higher and test the waters

Less pressure on the artist
With range bound editions there was a sense of let down if you didn't hit the maximum bound
With open editions any expectations you might have are more or less arbitrary - the market decides for you

As a collector you can take the time to crate dig
You don't have to go to the store being bummed that everything is in back order

The pace overall feels healthier
I had my OG collectors waiting at the doors eager to collect, but was surprised with the trickle effect I got throughout the rest of the day
