Let the people sit.

I was in a group of 6 people who were split into 3 shifts, so we had 2 desks. One week we all had to be in the office at the same time. There were 6 of us, but we only had 2 chairs, so a manager wrote us all up for standing around instead of sitting and working.

Telling people in Ireland that cashiers had to stand their entire shifts, rather than sit in a chair like they do in Ireland, had Irish folk wondering WTF is wrong with Americans.

I was buying something at Walmart and the cashier was sitting on a stool. I didn't even notice until she pointed it out and told me about how she had broken her foot recently and was NWB for a few weeks. The work ethic in this country is so messed up. Let people sit down!
