Perhaps shoving a lot of viral spike proteins into your bloodstream, no matter how, is just a pretty bad idea in general. But that doesn't fit either side's narrative (vaccine good stop being antiscience reee vs. mRNA demonspawn technology made by satanists), so nobody cared.

I don't get vaxskeptic-twitter's obsession over the "mRNA" part of mRNA vaccines. Other covid vaccines of completely different mechanisms had some pretty bad side effects too (remember AstraZeneca?), some so bad they never got approved (all the recombinant protein based ones).

there's an entire industry in [sympathetic poor places] put there built to routinely extract money from crypto people. "give directly" isn't always a good thing.

Sorry to inform, but the event below is represented by Sofia as taking place in Jan 2023. It turns out the pictures are almost certainly from a 2021 event (more in following tweets). I have to conclude the "BCH Smiles" event claimed below didn't actually take place! 😡😡 1/n twitter.com/VainilaMarket/…

most don't care about privacy or self-custody, even in crypto, because the prevailing systems have so far successfully isolated them as a "few people once in a while" problem. get-rich-quick is a problem with very wide appeal, privacy and confiscation much less so.

i'm not sure why people would want to argue whether we will or will not be "as powerful as ethereum". we're gonna do some weird things that aren't quite like eth, and it'll get weirder.

imagine thinking the weffle clubhouse and its octogenarian figure has any actual power lmao no, your favorite "leader" already had that policy you hate in mind way before he/she went to davos, and they'll continue to do so with or without shaking some specific hands. get real

in the last cycle cryptopeople reinvented banks that were worse than actual banks in every possible way, then imploded we'll have to do better in 2023

The #nostr protocol sounds elegant, but I don't think they made qualitative progress versus other messaging systems. Most users are not gonna want to manage a collection of relays, they barely manage 1. At scale it either collapses into federation like Matrix or outright fails.
