i have literally no idea how artists update insta regularly .... I always seem to forget about it 
does anyone actually get attention/business through it as an artist ? can anyone give me tips ?

When I started posting art on a more serious note I stopped getting followers alltogether. Sometimes, when I went through tags, my stuff wasn't even displayed. The algorythms are super weird. I post there every now and then, but doesn't seem worth it?
:/ that is really stupid and discouraging, I honestly feel like that sometimes on twitter too tbh. i really hope both insta and Twitter will fix this nonsense bc artists need all the help they can get w visibility / being noticed

It really is. Especially because you can't really controll it well yourelf on a great scheme. That's why I made it a habit to just be on many plattforms, to increase range. But that entire Social Media work of course cuts away from other things. But I guess there is no other way
