god yeah the cropping is so irritating :/ i just feel like I’m missing out by always forgetting it when I could be helping myself get commission work/ patreons via Insta But ... if I’m not then that saves me some stress tbh

When I started posting art on a more serious note I stopped getting followers alltogether. Sometimes, when I went through tags, my stuff wasn't even displayed. The algorythms are super weird. I post there every now and then, but doesn't seem worth it?

I feel like even if its not every day it has to be every other day and always at the same time And you need to be really active on other people's posts and pages. I find it hard to come up with enough content for insta to be real.

i don't rly have the time to be active constantly on insta as well as other social media but i should really make the effort to post at least smth there regularly.... i just find the uploading part so complicated and idk why lmao

Yeah tbh trying to get really into it right now isn't great. They fucked up their algorithm, and my regularly growing following just stopped nearly all together. The best to do is just post daily honestly, see if you can get in w/ other artists to help share your stuff.

Insta has the worst algorithms, it’s one of the sites where you can only expect 10% of your followers to see a given post unless you’re paying to promote it. It’s definitely gotten worse over the past year or so too.

I lost like 20% of my followers when I was inactive for a few months thanks to the algorithm
