i always see art block advice being conflicting as heck, people are always “push through it, you can do it!!” but also i see people saying “just take a break, give yourself some space from your art and come back later” like 
those are 2 very different things
OKAY SO my personal solution to art block is "finish up old wips, sketches and unfinished pieces" bc its working a treat, you don't have to come up with an idea, i inked like 6 headshots and never finished colouring them all SO HERE I AM. it's making me productive, at least.
I think it makes sense. It's a brain thing, yeah? Everyone's brains work differently. I think what matters is that people are trying to reach out to eachother with what worked for them.
yeah absolutely, both will work for different people but for some reason I’m still in a place in my life where I have no idea which one works for me best

I always just try to sketch random things or ocs. if I'm in an art block, i sketch to try to get myself back into it. idk if it'll work for you but you could try. :^)
I think it is so conflicting because different things work for different people. Also different strategies work sometimes while others might make it worse. Sort of depends on the situation surrounding the art block.
