Delivery plan is positive but COP26 will start negotiations to set a more ambitious post-2025 goal "from a floor of $100bn per year". Hard to think to that more ambitious targets can be trusted when original 100bn goal (pledged over a decade ago) remains unmet.

Imperative that the UK does not use its SDR allocation for sleight-of-hand reduction of aid. Leading means setting an example. Climate finance needs to be additional.

Original language around the $100bn is full of ambiguity. Pledge stated developed countries “jointly mobilise” $100bn from a variety of sources, lacking precision around expected proportions from each. New post-2025 goal must be more specific.

shocking UK cutting ODA further, & just before COP26. SDRs were meant to increase the funds available to poorest countries to cope with pandemic and climate. & poorest countries are meant to trust the $100 billion is new and additional

Great intervention by colleague Evans Njewa. Lack of climate definition still key challenge but must not derail discussions on new goal starting at . Accessibility must be improved: not just for governments, but for people on the ground.

Good! Wealthy nations must embark on a big push to deliver long-promised US$100 billion goal. Trust must be regained soon as will also set up the framing for negotiating new and more ambitious climate finance target post 2025.
