I think the short sellers are actually TOO focused on the pure fundamentals and have missed the intrinsic support of investors on the theme of global environmental sustainability. They have no metrics to measure the tenacity of Tesla's customers and investors. But it's very real.
I've never seen such a long term short (over 3 years) of this size (average $8.6 bn since 2016) that is pretty much immune to price moves and mark-to-market losses (over -$6.3 bn since 2016). The longer it drags, the more violent it will be in the end. Longs are taking shares, shorts are busy defending $348 and $360. I would love to see it drags another 2 years so I can add even more shares. Big rally is coming.
