When I was 8, I received $20 for my birthday. I bought everyone in my class a pretzel and juice ($0.50 for 40 students). My mom asked me why I did that? I told her I didn’t want to eat alone and I know many times kids didn’t have $, so I wanted to share.

Related: Chelsea Manning has been trapped in solitary confinement for refusing to answer questions before a Grand Jury. Solitary confinement is torture. Chelsea is being tortured for whistleblowing, she should be released on bail, and we should ban extended solitary in the US.

Serious question for The Intercept: Do you secretly work for the FBI? David Hale, Reality Winner and Terry Albury are all in prison because of you. Is it incompetence or are you compromised? You owe a lot of people an explanation. And an apology.

  8. Many people of color are anti-black. They don’t even realize when they are reaching for the comfort of white supremacy. Doesn’t matter the shade of brown. Many ppl want to enjoy the privilege and power of whiteness so policing others and shaming others is an acceptable practice

Chronology matters. On Friday, Israel gunned down 4 Palestinians peacefully protesting. Most people said nothing. Hardly any condemnations. When we only see outrage & coverage when Israelis r hurt or killed it sends a message that only one group matters. Life is sacred for all.
