    Colossal canyon-like hole in this Svalbard glacier terminus. Presuming a BIG collapsed channel feature from the shape and plumes? Sentinel 2 imagery processed in . Any thoughts?

    Some years, like this one, an "ice bridge" forms in Nares Strait in the Canadian Arctic. This stops old ice flowing into Baffin Bay until it fractures in the spring. We use SAR and Infrared imagery to help find features like this.

    A Royal Australian Air Force C-17A Globemaster III have successfully used 2 new parachute systems to drop supplies for Casey base. One of them, the Joint Precision Aerial Delivery System, is equipped with GPS & a machine that controls the parachute risers, guiding its direction.
