He's proven - time and time again - from multiple independent sources what the impact of tenure is. (Though I'd argue a year with a pandemic isn't something that's fair to measure again)

Because some people profit off of the carceral state, both financially and psychologically, they can't stand the notion that the "criminals" they're talking about are real people. Real people who are victims of an unfair and unjust system

Instead of creating this criminal vs upstanding citizen dichotomy, why can't we think of a world where we try to help everyone have dignified lives? Something like that takes time.
