I trust individuals’ intentions (if they’re good folks to begin with), but I don’t trust the system they’re embedded in.
I also realized recently that I don’t expect people to understand or counteract their own bias.
This is a problem. I’m working on raising my expectations
it's not just the people you work for but the layers of departments and orgs and things just keep freaking changing - for me I chalk it up to always loving to deal with new tech so projects (and the jobs) tend to shift and change. But it mostly seems to work out for the better.
