Just listen to this documentary “The Nineties” on Netflix. I highly reccomend watching it btw. Listen cuz you can’t screenrecord off Netflix. But I tried. This explains the phenomenon of Ross & Rachel and how fans were emotionally invested in their ship. Like...JAPRILpic.twitter.com/zmy9FdyUs6

To have a showrunner say these are fictional characters so get over it is disrespectful to the impact of TV shows that changed television for the better. This is nothing new! Social media is new. That’s it. People have been emotionally invested in characters since the beginning.

Japril was as iconic as Ross & Rachel. People are obsessed with their relationship. Why is that now all of a sudden considered a bad thing? TV shows WISH to have a couple that people are so invested in and here you have Grey’s willingly throwing it away and calling fans crazy.

What
@iJesseWilliams and@sarahdrew created with Japril is just another phenomenon. When a documentary is made about the 2010’s and GA is featured Japril will be remembered like Ross and Rachel were remembered. They will go down in history as one of the most iconic ships of TVShow this thread -
They will be remembered for the craze they created with Japril. The attachment the fans had for them. That’s something special! That’s something legendary and you can’t take that from them. Krista & co cannot make us be ashamed of this. When she herself talks about Friends.

She knows the impact it had on TV But is unwilling to see Japril’s impact. That’s why I don’t appreciate her or respect her. She’s a hypocrite at the end of the day. Like Friends, imagine if Get Up Stad Up was filmed in front of a live audience. The reaction would be undeniable.

I really just don’t want to hear people talking down on Japril stans especially Krista. I’m using an example of what she considers one of her favorite shows. Friends is everything Grey’s currently is not. Yet she talks about the show like it’s the holy grail. Maybe take pointers?

As I said Japril is to Grey’s what Ross and Rachel were to Friends. Both couples were cases of opposites attracting but for some reason they had this magnetic chemistry that no one could ignore. Their ups& downs, kept viewers glued to their TV’s and gave us iconic moments.

We remember them fondly and loved their love. The only difference is one got the endgame they deserved while the other was tossed away like they didn’t even matter. It still won’t change that those two go down in history as some of the most iconic ships ever seen on TV.pic.twitter.com/2sleeJfnTK
