No. 4 is a massive no no in my eyes
Things I wish I'd known before I started my career: 1) It's more important to be reliable than smart. 2) Hard work is rewarded over time, never quickly. 3) Hard work brings more luck. 4) Don't worry about 'where this is going'. Keep at it. 5) Quit if you are not appreciated.

6) Work hard when it's necessary, but not all the time (unless you're your own boss). People appreciate it when you can go the extra mile. 7) Careful planning trumps hard work.
