Now is the time for every Biden supporter to reach out to one person who voted for Trump. Empathize with them. Tell them you know how they feel (you do, from 2016). Come up with one issue you can agree on.

It's not about catharsis, Ian. It's about the self-righteous tone deafness of your original tweet. Tell Trump supporters to put down the guns and the conspiracy theories and try to understand the majority of Americans who never supported him. Then we can move on from there.

Speaking as someone who supported neither Biden nor Trump, I've seen nothing but hate from both sides. Truly psychotic hate in most cases. Empathy ? When and where and who posted it, because I missed it.
