    I would humbly submit that there is one mechanical valve design truly worthy of the “toilet seat” comparison: the Schimert-Cutter valve, which never advanced to the clinical phase.

    It’s different for CT/MR than echo as shows in the excellent slides. One can measure cusp to commissure on sax in echo but conventional reporting in echo is cusp to cusp for the sinuses. Everything else is similar between echo and CT/CMR. I measure edge to edge for lumen

    If you consult cards for a “funny rhythm” during a case, please save the rhythm strips for us! Too often I’m playing CSI: PACU down there taking witness statements based on third-hand accounts and looking for the strips like a detective at a crime scene.
