It’s hard to be vulnerable when you KNOW it’s going to be weaponized against you. It feels like taking a gamble. Hoping the positive will outweigh the negatives. I fear spilling my guts and finding out the only people who were listening are the people who would do me harm.

I don’t owe the internet this vulnerability. But consciously choosing to do the scary thing can be healing and empowering. But I know from experience that receiving positive attention inevitably brings a new wave of vitriol from anti-fans who feel I deserve to suffer eternally.

I’ve been waffling w/ the idea of being vulnerable & making videos and/or threads about the impact that being harassed, stalked, & defamed for nearly 2 YEARS has had on my life & health. I’ve had to hold so much back bc I know any vulnerability will be exploited & twisted. (1/?)

-habits of any rabbit in the shelter. The unanimous opinion from the volunteers was that they were the best behaved and friendly rabbits of the shelter, but visitors never give them a chance bc they’re larger (Hilda is like 9 lb), more mellow, and shy.

The volunteer who fostered/bonded them was there & she said they were amazing free roam bunnies (super well behaved) and she would have adopted them herself if she could afford to keep them in addition to her own pets. They said the Siggy also has the most impeccable litter-

They were a bit shy, but they’ve lived in the shelter longer than any other pair (FOUR YEARS!) not bc of of any problems, but they’re the type who need time to come out of their shell & bond. Hilda was actually born at the shelter and has lived there her whole life.

I think post-Japan trip & bunny adoption, my next big goal is to actually setting up surgery consults for breast reduction or top surgery (still figuring out what I’d prefer). Maybe once I have a clearer idea of what’s possible, I’ll have the motivation to shake off this ED.

Bringing this back bc young queer folks need to know that their rights are a relatively recent thing. Things can change very quickly, for better or for worse.
