I am writing to you in relation to University expectations for making up education following industrial action. You will be aware that the University has confirmed that partial performance is not accepted, and that where education lost as a result of strike action is not made up, this will be deemed to be partial performance for which a deduction of 100% of pay will be made on the basis of 1/365 of salary for the period of partial performance. The Faculty supports the de-prioritisation of other activity to provide sufficient time for lost education to be made up. I understand that you have not yet confirmed that lost education arising from one or more of the February 2023 strike days (1st, 9th, 10th, 14th, 15th and 16th ) has been made up. Please confirm by return email that education has been made up – or has been agreed to be made up by a deadline confirmed and accepted by your Head of School/Institute or their delegate - by Friday 31st March 2023.
