To be honest Iain I found it very disturbing and I was upset by it.i think you should have dealed with the situation off air.If you think your bragging, your right because you already had to say your not bragging.Your such a plum sometimes. But I have listened to your show 2 years
-
If you found it disturbing and upsetting, then imagine how the caller feels on a daily basis.
-
Yes!!!!!! Well said x

Bipolar has me to deal with on a daily basis. (I like to say that instead of I have bipolar). I fight daily to get up and get on with it. That man asked for help, yes it took something drastic to ask but he asked. We can't afford to look away from mental illness.

Hi Iain, I'm one of the reporters for
@Plymouth_Live - would you like to have a chat about what happened? My number is 01752 293 066. Kind regards -
Please do this
@iainlee The more press the better. We need to put pressure on the government to act. Many thanks for your humanity -
Had a lovely chat with Iain, top bloke. Very humble

Nice work, Iain. Anyone impressed by Iain’s good work should consider donating time or money (if they can, both in short supply at this time of year!) to the Samaratins or Lifeline. They do this stuff all the time! You could help them do it! Just not on the radio.
-
Very well said :) I used to volunteer for the Samaritans and all listening volunteers deal with these types of calls every single day. Kudos to anyone who helps save a life.
-
Good on you, Amy: excellent work. Hope you have a good Christmas.

The question is
@iainlee how are you this morning? You probably felt the emotions after the call and at 1am when the news feed kicked in. As I live in the south West it was easy to relay all your info to d&c control room via 999. Mate, if I may call you that, your a one in a mil.Thanks. Seriously fair play , you probably saved that man's life, but also can I say fair play to the man who called in , he deserves to be recognised for his bravery at reaching out , we should talk about these things more they shouldn't be so tabboo x

I used to be a call handler for
@DC_Police and had an extra role as an Enhanced Crisis Communicator, which meant that I was tasked to talk to people like your caller. It was so bloody hard, so thank you and well done for what you did#Hero#NotAllHeroesWearCapesThanks. Twitter will use this info to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
