We had no business sending an 84 year old with zero diplomatic experience as Ambassador to one of our most important allies and trading partners - especially with a volatile head of government. We can and should have done better.

This too will pass :) God always has a plan.

For those asking who I was talking about in my last post, this ban means a H1B visa is no longer a path to permanent residency like it used to be.

My dinner was with close friends who have always wanted to head home to build something but now feel this is the perfect opportunity to go build or join one of Africa’s fast growing tech companies instead of expending energy playing cat and mouse with USCIS.

It’s a decision I respect. I made a similar decision in 2013 when Canada was not as welcoming to Nigerians and a few hundred million dollar businesses later I can’t say I regret it. Glad Canada saw the light later.
