So many of the comments here are heartless, cruel. The point is, she cares. It shows. She is trying to DO something about it. Those who flippantly snark about cruelty betray their own lack of civility.

Not one of the heartless comments makes any attempt to refute any of the factual atrocity being committed. They admit these children are abused, they just don't think they are complicit in the abuse. It's denial.
-
If these photos were about the camps, the photos would be of the camps! The comments are about the main subject of the photos. The criticism is not directed towards an agreement or disagreement of the situation, it is towards an obvious PR stunt USING the children as props!
-
There are photos of the camps and children, just not in THIS tweet. Just bc you can’t see them in THESE photos, doesn’t mean they aren’t there. Go look for yourself In other tweets.

Looks like a pre-planned photo opp!

At that point, how was she able to afford her ticket, hotel, outfit? I thought she was just a poor bartender unable to live her life because some people have a lot of money.
-
Her outfit of jeans and a shirt?
-
Nice boots, nice watch. I thought only the rich are able to accessorize.

I love AOC but these images feel so staged, it undermines her credibility on these issues. This crisis is not about “ striking” photos of a Congresswoman, it is about DYING CHILDREN.
-
It was a found moment. Nothing staged about it. Who says you can’t have both? It’s about her and the kids that were in the tent city. Que no?

These images capture not a damn thing about this children. This is an embarrassment and offensive.
-
Yes, these images don’t show children, that doesn’t mean they weren’t there. Also, there are several other tweets/stories I covered that do indeed show those children if you want to look those up.
-
The only thing that matters to me is the children, not ANY American’s reaction to this vileness. I will not feel bad about wanting the focus to be 100% on them. These images in my opinion are a distraction.
-
I applaud all the good that will come of worrying for the children while proudly ignoring the people who put them there or the ones that can get them out.
-
Yes these images of AOC will free all the caged children. What was I thinking?
-
They were moved today, said they were being taken to the Military Base in Oklahoma. So pics or not, she WAS the ONE who got it done for now. Thank you
@AOC -
Wait how was it AOC specifically and not the bazillion other people working on this? Seriously, did I miss something?
-
Concentration Camp started the Serious look. The New Yorker has been all over it, but No one was interested. If it wernt for the Hearing and the Lawyer's 2 days after her comment, there would still be the debate over the name
