whatever will be will be.. Since Islam seems better designed for this game than most competitors, Muslims may be less worried by the prospect.. but I think the transition will be very painful, even for Muslims..

I think islamists are just more eager. Pure shariah is not likely to work in the modern world as it was an extractive agrarian overlordism. Nonetheless, no transition is ever painless, USSR to Russia included.

It is not likely to work in a way that I would approve, but it is flexible enough to get to Iran-level.. I worry more about India. It is likely you guys will lose some more territory to high-asabiya competitors if "muscular liberalism" doesnt settle into place
