The smart thing to do would be for Muller to immediately declare victory, close up shop, and take the wind out of the brewing counterattack before his buddies get frogmarched.

I believe Trump is smart enough to realize these people must be crushed. Whether he can pull it off is another matter, but it's plausible.

This would be the biggest putsch the commie Deep State has faced since McCarthy then, and that guy was one tough sonofabitch.

There's just so many of these people, and so many institutions in play. It's a decade project at least to do it without a massive disruption to help it along, and he's barely started.

Yeah that's why I doubt whether it can be sustained. a decade = 4 elections, and lots of time for shenigans of various kinds. If he strengthens his own cabinet then I'd be more hopeful but his own team is full of neocon backstabbers.

I'm on team Hope For Massive Disruption To Speed It Along. Right wing maoism is an idea whose time has come.

I will get into this on a future Myth20C but the essence of maoism is to disrupt institutions you don't control, even if you can't control the disruption

Yeah, Vincent Hanna's poast on it is very illuminating - the high-low vs middle maneuver would be perfect for Trump.
