I hv smart Chinese friends who hv most of these views but no fear of intermarriage.. In fact they know the Han people absorbed many others via intermarriage and cultural assimilation.. IF LKY was anti race mixing, that may be a personal idiosyncrasy/relic of his westrn education?

Doc you read Razib regularly, you understand genetic differences, you know the IQ literature I hope? You get David Reich's science. What exactly do you think LKY was wrong about?

Did I say he was wrong? (I think he likely likely overestimated the genetic contribution, but that would be my best guess, not certainty.. Anyhow my point was exactly the opposite: that LKY seems willing to decide based on observations, evidence, argument.. Not received wisdom

That doesn't mean he got the biology right necessarily.. I lean towards the opinion that relative contributions of culture/envt are likely greater.. And even where group IQ probably IS genetically higher, the mechanics were likely NOT what he said, eg the Ashkenazi case..

Sure, we're only now finding out about some of these issues. They should be solved in around 10 years time. LKY was, comparatively, more right than any other major leader who lived contemporarily.

Practical wisdom, common sense, political astuteness, personality (whatever it is that makes men able to take charge, lead etc).. And willingness to think, say w/o fear.. Still doesn't mean he got the biology right.. Or that the political philosophy was "deep".. Different planes
