Despite neo marxist hysteria, the current 'Hindu nationalist' administration has not touched any of these large issues, and has given no indication that it intends to. So after the monumental effort at electing a 'Hindu nationalist' PM, there will be no reversal

Here is my thought: "Hindu Nationalist" administration cannot do what is beyond its reach.. Q is, is it beyond its reach for some deep reasons, or just bcz X or Y are not doing what you want them to do? (I am leaning towards "deep reasons", not necessarily known to them tho)

The 'deep reasons' IMHO are mundane - there is a lack of brainpower and a denuded long term vision. The RSS' envisions that as long as people are made 'proud to be Indian', everything's in good shape. RSS shunned the premier Hindu intellectuals of the past century - SRG and RS

Again, to an outsider, it looks like this: You think X shd hv happened, but clearly Y happened. Why? and what can be done about it? "I ask, O fathers, not to challenge, but to know"

The deeper reasons are that Hinduism has not yet adapted itself to the modern world - either to industrialization or the Abrahamic cults. The intellectual resources needed for such an effort appear exhausted fighting the Mughals and then the British.

Other than what the Brits would call (sometimes admiringly) "bloody mindedness" (stubbornness), what stops you from then abandoning what you consider a lost cause? (u know I am not asking to score a point)..

That's not Dharma :) it may appear a lost cause, but I'm not a Guru or a Prophet. If the 'Great Satan' somehow gets deflected and removes its Foundation/NGO war against Hinduism, while H still maintain a robust majority, and an improving economy, perhaps people can be found.

Aah, but isnt that what Modi is trying to do? yet you are so profoundly disappointed in him?

Perhaps yes, but knowing his reputation (do recall your own thoughts of him prior to the election), was it unfair to expect more than 'vikas' ?
