To this day I'm certain that if Moldbug/NRx had just picked a word other than "passivism" to describe their political strategy, fewer people would be as butt mad about it.

Yes this is why it's a great filter. Length of posts, weaving multiple points with complex digressions, and deceptively simple concepts like passivism all acted as strong filters for people who could read, digest and mull over ideas.
