I agree with @MattBruenig Singapore's combination of markets & substantial state ownership wd be regarded as unacceptable socialism by most centre-right people in USA or UK. i mean about economic policy. To some extent Japan/Korea have been able to avoid bioleninism by having the bureaucracy control very effectively all powers of the state.
