Rajiv Malhotra is an honest man standing up for Dharma. He was simply the best answer to what we had at the time.
Though it's shameful that an autodidact businessman NRI had to do this. Tens of millions of our 'students' and 'scholars' cant
-
-
That's cause our students and scholars are uninterested in protecting Dharma. RM brought more media attention
-
And RM has the wrong approach with his 'intellectual kshatriya' nonsense, he should be stringently elitist - select the best.
-
Instead of trying to string everyone along.
-
I don't see a problem with that because only the elitist will remain committed. After a threshold there's self-selection
-
He's wasting a lot of time. Watch his lamentations of people's lack of ability, his answering all queries etc.
-
It's clear he hasn't thought about this - he needs a benchmark/test to weed people out and create a true talented elite class.
-
I don't know his method honestly but how I'd go about "IK" would be to crowdsource, start ecosystem and let them self-select
-
after self-selection, fund the winners.

That is true of course, but could NO ONE do this in a nation of 1B? Hell, make some money and fund scholars.
-
How about some dharma defending businessmen do fundraising and fund academies?
-
There are lots of options possible in the age of the internet, and lots of people with money. They are clueless.

That's just tautological, bro, also fatalistic. Lots is possible. Money exists, talent exists.
@PaganTrad -
Although I think when he says we're a slave race he's trying to incite people to be better. Just saying
-
Yes we are a slave race, but we needn't be is my point. Resources and opportunity exists.

Perhaps Students & Scholars have systemic obligations preventing them from taking on this project in open manner
-
In the entire 1Billion strong country eh?
-
I am only talking about the students and scholars who are a cog in the system.
-
The ones who don't have any obligations to the system are contributing / helping out in whatever way possible
-
They need to contribute in scholarship. Uncountable number of manuscripts lay undigitzed and untranslated.
-
Contribution in the form of scholarship will happen eventually. 1/2
-
Even RM had to undergo sabhAna for nearly 10years before his first scholarly work appeared. 2/2
-
Yes and RM is an autodidact! What are the missions, mathas, universities doing? Where are the new smritis and shastras
