While educated should have more children and poor class should have fewer kids to have a better society, opposite happens.

Gene pool will have lesser traditionally educated people and more of stunted, malnourished people. Perfect cocktail for downfall.

It also creates vertical class divide as rich gets richer by no division of wealth and poor gets poorer by spending for large family.

TFR advocates should care about quality I agree. However the decline in TFR has happened among educated classes - alarming.

I am not pessimistic about it. Our population pool is quite big to have a regular supply of of capable rulers.
