I'm just not in favor of denouncing an ENTIRE tradition. Criticizing individual practices - sure. Not saying it can't be done, but usually i dont think it's deserved. Only exception i could think of would be the Aztec tradition.

There really are no redeeming qualities of Babylonian tradition assuming what we know is true, anything from "sacral" prostitution, to human sacrifice, to the encouragement of horrifying forms of death, and to the idea that humanity were Slaves of the Gods and the Gods were evil

Egyptian has enough good practice in some manners, just that their negatives are fairly large, too much so for me to praise them for anything other than their longevity
