Money has that much hold over state governments, like PA, Ohio, and Texas, and they pushed back. I work in the industry, I was there.

If TX, Ohio and PA pushed back against Obamacare would they care? I don't doubt that there was pushback and lobbying. My point was that it would hardly have mattered in a traditional Democratic administration.

Maybe. My point is it happened despite Obama, not because of him. Technology that pumps a couple of trillion into the economy is hard to suppress.

Oh it's quite easy to suppress actually! Those trillions hadn't yet materialized in 2009/2010. I ultimately hold Obama responsible for being pragmatic here, that's all.
