When we are looking for new opportunities, we are likely applying to more than one place. I was going mental with like 90% of them requiring such a time commitment for something that could amount to nothing in the end.

One company made me go through not one, but three technical challenges, on site included, for in the end telling me that I was asking too much money

Another company asked a full app, backend, frontend, tests, deployed on docker etc. I made some of that in the some of the free time I had and send them the details on what I had spent my time at and why for them to tell me that they were looking for something more polished

I have been rejected from King twice, once for a job literally called "Lua Developer" even though I had a referral from internal employees and from Roberto Ierusalimschy himself, really don't know what more King wants

PS without a single interview, not even a phone call.
