You could not give away a 5.5 inch tablet but a 5.5 inch iPhone costs $800. Seems a lot to pay for a metered voice app.
@asymco GSM patents and other mandatories, not an app…Tablets with cellular modem are also much more expensive.

@iwozik A cellular phone can be sold profitably for $25. The licensed IP on a cellular chipset is less than $5. -
