I've reached a point when travelling to a different country feels like travelling to a different city. Something normal and easy. 18 yo me would have never believed it. Growing up in Romania, I fantasised about it, but never really dared to hope it'll actually happen.

I used to think about this every time I was travelling. Now I rarely do. But now I think about how much the world has changed. To me, I am living a dream I never thought possible. When I grew up in communist Romania, travelling was a huge nono. That's just one huge change.

And it's so easy to take it all for granted. I really hope I'll never lose the happiness and gratitude to live this life. This is something I want to reflect on often. What changed for you, compared to 20 years ago or so? And is it to the better? I very much hope so!

Last weekend I hopped on a plane
to Gothenburg with just a belt pouch. Just 10 years ago any travel would require a bag of stuff, documents, local cash, etc.
Now the phone replaces half of it, and EU/Schengen replaces another half.
