The rise of video - A person can speak at ~150 words per minute (wpm) - Modern reader can read at ~180 wpm - Earlier readers (1960) could read at ~230 wpm The drop in literacy efficiency has reached a point were video has 'good enough' info density to be competitive.

It doesn't help. In case of text you can go back and re-read a phrase almost instantly. Little chance to do it in case of video.

also better search engine indexing, easier highlights and side notes and many other advantages. But... old people may be good at reading, while the new people seem to struggle with any text longer than 150 symbols, looks like...
