that's important! Many human beings think this is a feature of our profession rather than a bug. IMO it is 18 months till meltdown, then 10-12 months in lay-low mode to heal-up then either a new more static role or a set of self-rules (diet, gym, family time, etc) to adhere to.

yup. but that only works if the person has the time and finances to be able to handle that amount of time off :-/ all too often, we burn out, spend a week or two in recovery mode, and then jump into a new job, which has great "new relationship energy" but only masks the burnout.
